No, it’s nothing to do with Buzz Lightyear! This concerns details of BT’s fibre optic broadband service named…yes, you’ve guessed it…Infinity. It offers download speeds of up to 40Mb and upload speeds of up to 10Mb.

BT Infinity Option 1
- A 20Gb monthly usage allowance
- 18 month contract
- £19.99 per month
BT Infinity Option 2
- Unlimited use
- 18 month contract
- £24.99 per month
Personally, I’m a little impatient as those upload speeds would be of huge benefit. No more twiddling of thumbs as you upload images to Flickr or your domain directories. More importantly, it will improve my Xbox LIVE gaming experience. It should mean that there will no longer be an ISP handicap when playing our colonial cousins over the pond.
I am aware that Virgin Media have offered fibre optic broadband for a while now but this is not a ‘fan-boy’ article. There will always be consumers with horror stories regarding their previous ISP. My home is cable enabled but I place a great deal of trust in BT. So until such a time that trust has eroded, I’ll remain a customer with them.
Anyway, all you need to know is available from BT themselves.
