Happy birthday to me.

Today I celebrate – if that is the right word – my 48th birthday.  There were a few really nice presents including Skull Candy GI headphones and The Family Guy Trilogy – Laugh It Up, Fuzzball [Blu-ray]

boxed collection which features;

Blue Harvest
The laughs come full “Force” when the Griffin clan puts a freakin’ sweet spin on the greatest sci-fi saga ever told. With Peter playing the swashbuckling Han Solo, Lois as the sexy Princess Leia, Chris as an adolescent Luke Skywalker, Brian as a well-spoken Chewbacca and Stewie finally embracing his dark side as Darth Vader, who knows what will happen?

The Something Something Something Dark Side
Following the example of its predecessor, this installment retraces the adventures of the Star Wars saga from the bizarre perspective of Seth MacFarlane’s dysfunctional characters. Chris Griffin – the chubby and clumsy teenage son – is transformed into a less charming and not so resourceful Luke Skywalker, Stewie Griffin – the ever menacing toddler – aptly morphs into an even meaner version of Darth Vader, while Peter Griffin and Lois Griffin play Han Solo and Princess Leia respectively.

It’s A Trap!
Once again, the Family Guy alliance travels far, far beyond the boundaries of good taste to bring you an outrageous intergalactic journey. Join them for one last outer space adventure, as Han Solo (Peter), Chewbacca (Brian), and Princess Leia (Lois) battle against the Evil Empire. Meanwhile, Darth Vader (Stewie) and the Emperor (Carter) try to recruit Luke Skywalker (Chris) to the dark side of the Force with taco nights and T-shirts.

HeinzDespite having a tooth extracted earlier today, an item over at Wired (UK) brought a smile to curiously lop-sided mouth – and aching jaw come to think of it.

For a limited time, Heinz are offering the opportunity to send a personalised tin of soup to a friend who is feeling poorly.  On the label of the tin will read “Get Well Soon” followed by the legend of your choice - within reason I should imagine – as depicted in this post’s featured image.  This wonderful message of maliciousness  sympathy can be bought at the bargain price of £1.99.  Delivery will take around 4 days to deliver and this whole idea originated through the folk from social media and marketing communication agency We Are Social” .  Unfortunately, you have to be a member of Facebook to be able to take advantage of this offer.

New Hosting Provider

Server FarmMy loyal reader may notice a slight difference –  and lack of posts – when they next visit TL’s Ramblings.  This is due to a change of hosting provider, to one that supports the latest version of WordPress.  In such a short space of time, I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of my new service.

Over time, it will once again be a home to the usual articles of both intelligence and insight weird ramblings – but although I do enjoy a good conspiracy theory, I refuse to use a black background with green lettering. :)

One alteration that is here to stay is that of posting comments.  With the tremendous amount of spam – even though  Askimet provides excellent protection from garbage – users will now have to register before they can comment.  Hopefully this will not deter genuine people from using this facility.

Check back soon.
