Happy birthday to me.

Today I celebrate – if that is the right word – my 48th birthday.  There were a few really nice presents including Skull Candy GI headphones and The Family Guy Trilogy – Laugh It Up, Fuzzball [Blu-ray]

Despite having a tooth extracted earlier today, an item over at Wired (UK) brought a smile to curiously lop-sided mouth – and aching jaw come to think of it.

According to breaking news on the BBC Steve Jobs has died.  You can read their obituary on this page or view his career in pictures.

It is a sad day indeed.

My loyal reader may notice a slight difference –  and lack of posts – when they next visit TL’s Ramblings.  This is due to a change of hosting provider, to one that supports the latest version of WordPress.  In such a short space of time, I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of my new service.

Over time, it will once again be a home to the usual articles of both intelligence and insight weird ramblings – but although I do enjoy a good conspiracy theory, I refuse to use a black background with green lettering.

One alteration that is here to stay is that of posting comments.  With the tremendous amount of spam – even though  Askimet provides excellent protection from garbage – users will now have to register before they can comment.  Hopefully this will not deter genuine people from using this facility.
